Nucleation Nozzle

The TOPGUN Snowmaking Systems patent-pending Nucleation Nozzle technology is the newest innovation in snowmaking technologies. Incorporating four water and air streams in one compact design, the Nucleation Nozzle outperforms any existing low air/water tower snowgun available. With the intersection of the air and water streams approximately ¼ in. apart as compared to the industry standard 1½ inches, atomization occurs with more force providing a greater super cooling affect and better performance across all temperature ranges. This allows for a more complete dispersion of the water nuclei producing the high quality snow your skiers enjoy.

The compact design of the Nucleation Nozzle is the same as traditional head designs used today with four water streams and 2 to 4 air streams expect in a different package with greater performance. With the Nucleation Nozzle design you can easily change water flow by simply exchanging one nozzle as compared to the two, four or eight you have to today.

Each water stream is nucleated with 25 cfm of compressed air and at nearly ¼ of an inch away, results in an extremely forceful blast of air atomizing and super cooling the water stream. With this design we achieve greater performance over the temperature range giving you greater marginal weather performance and the ability to flow more water at any given temperature. Radial placing 2, 3 or 4 combinations of air and water streams on our one-nozzle design system allows the TOPGUN Snowguns to operate at 50, 75 or 100 cfm giving our customers great flexibility, convenience and cost savings.
